A new trend?

All of a sudden magazine have been popping up with models and stars on the covers without makeup or retouching. It's so great to see these real women being real. I love that they aren't afraid to to show who they really are.

Heidi Klum in People Magazine's Most Beautiful People 2010 issue, no makeup and no retouching included. She still looks gorgeous.

Britney Spears posed for a new Candie's ad and didn't want any retouching. When retouching was done she decided to release the unretouched photos herself. I think she looks great without retouching. Kudos to you, Britney!

Jessica Simpson posed for the cover and a photo spread in Marie Claire Magazine without makeup and zero retouching. "I don't have anything to prove anymore,” Simpson told the magazine. “What other people think of me is not my business.”

I heart True Blood!

I love True Blood. It's one of my favorite shows. I've read all the Sookie Stackhouse books. I have been waiting so patiently, ok, impatiently for the third season. After seeing the new promotional posters I'm even more excited!

Belle du Jour by NARS

I love NARS cosmetics. They are famous for their Orgasm blush because it is a universally flattering shade that will never go out of style. That's how I think of NARS products: TIMELESS!

Their new collection for Summer 2010 is no exception. It was created by NARS Founder and Creative Director, François Nars. He drew inspiration from his longtime muse Catherine Deneuve’s portrayal of Sèverine in the movie Belle de Jour.

Welcome!

This is my first post on my new blog about beauty, fashion, and all other fun things in life.
Here's a little background on me and why I am starting this blog.

I love makeup and was a makeup artist for over 9 years. I have a California esthetician's license but I now consider myself retired from the beauty industry. I only help friends with their makeup now but I'm still obsessed with makeup, fashion, shoes and beauty in general.

I got married in December 2009 and I am still obsessed with weddings.

I love books and reading, computers, internet, baking, animals, coffee, movies, games and so much more.

I see things that I love everyday and I have to share my obsessions somewhere so, here it goes. I hope that anyone who reads this blogs enjoys what they see.
