Gold Medal Nail Art

I love nail polish. I love nail art even more. Recently I've been obsessed, as I'm sure most of the world has been, with watching the 2012 Olympics in London. I've noticed so many amazing examples of patriotic nail art.

The female Olympic athletes from around the world have shown their pride for their countries by polishing their nails in their countries colors.
Here are a few of the best nail designs spotted at the 2012 Olympic games.

Rebecca Adlinton of Great Britain

Amy Oliver of Great Britain

Missy Franklin of the USA

Carolina Colorado of Colombia

Kristina Vogel of Germany

Celine Goberville of France

Stefania Pirozzi of Italy

Miriea Garcia Bel Monte of Spain

Caroline Wozniackiof Denmark

Emily Seebohm of Australia

Becchara Palmer of Australia

Jenny Mensing of Germany

Venus Williams of the USA

Some of the looks were done by the athletes themselves, some were done in nail salons in their home countries, but many of these creative designs were created at the pop-up nail salon in the Olympic Village. Celebrity manicurist Sophy Robson and her "Nail Porn" team created the Union Jack nail look for Great Britain's Rebecca Adlington.
Robyn Gayle of the Canadian soccer team gets her digits done at the pop-up salon.

"Nail Porn" teamed up with P&G to create the temporary salon, which is open to athletes and guests at the Olympic Village in Stratford. They have over 200 different designs to choose from and up to 18 manicurists on hand at any given time. @nailporn

Nail art is a great way for the athletes and their supporters to show their team spirit and pride for their country.

What do you think of the Olympic nail art trend?
